Just got home from seeing Godzilla in IMAX 3D. It really makes me sad that people were disappointed because that was easily one of the best movies Ive ever seen. Too many people are focusing on Bryan Cranston not being there for the whole movie, and while I wish he had been there more the rest of the movie is so just absolutely amazing I dont even care. Godzilla showed a lot of restraint with its monsters and because of that I was always floored every time one of the monsters was on screen. Godzilla isnt paced like a modern movie. And thats really what sets it apart from all of the absolute crap that Hollywood keeps cranking out these days. If youve got any real love for older movies that have actual thought and effort put into them then youll love this movie. Godzilla has just easily become one of my all time favorite movies. Honestly, Im disappointed in the people who couldnt appreciate the quality of this movie for what it was. But I guess Adam Sandler has to make money somehow.
