Just in case anyone cares.......the commercials for that phone service "Basic Talk" that charge $9.99 a month for service and claim that they are better then that so called "Magic" service are full of shit !!!! Yes with the Magicjack you do have to buy the device, (with thier service you have to already have a phone as well) and yes you do have to pay upfront $20 for service but BUT that is $20 for unlimited long distance and local calling FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR the other service is $9.99 a month or $119.88 a year almost $100 more for same service.......I have had my magicjack for over 5 years now without any complications what so ever. Yes i do pay extra for a specialized number but it is one i wanted and not required for service..........so do not believe all the BS from Walmart trying to take ur money. No this is not a rant to bas Walmart either !!! Plus with the MagicJack as long as you bring a computer with you where ever you go and your phone that u use with your MagicJack you can take the service with you when you move, go on vacation, have to stay at a parents house if they are ill without any additional charges !!!!! magicjack/plus-v05/
