Just in case my comment gets deleted (like many other have) Ill share it here as well. This is a JOKE! I am SO happy that sate employees will be getting the benefit of having their insurance cover Autism. To bad for us citizens right? I speak as a father of a child with Autism. I left my job to make sure I was there for my son during the most difficult stages in his life so far. (and no, My wife and I do not receive any state benefits due to my unemployment nor do we need them) Five years have gone by and we do not regret it one bit. However, it is a hard pill to swallow when your told your child will need a list of different therapies and oh by the way, that insurance coverage you have been paying for doesnt cover it. This statement is a complete slap in the face to parents raising children with Autism all over this state and everyone knows it. I watched all of this unfold LIVE as I streamed it and am disgusted with the behavior and treatment of issues regarding children by our elected officials. Ashamed.
