Just listened to the Omnibus. I usually listen daily or catch up every couple of days but treated myself to brekky in bed with the radio this morning. What a fantastic week - it had everything I love about the Archers in it - especially the humour. This is what life is really like - gossips, show-offs, blokes joking about their wives, women manipulating their nearest and dearest - none of the doom and gloom, murder, mayhem, constant shouting and crying that you find in other unrealistic soaps. I have a question - did I enjoy it more (and I did really laugh out loud at various points) because I heard a whole week in one go or was it actually funnier than it has been for ages? I found myself laughing more than I might have because I had the benefit of all the AA postings this week so had visual images of Susans wacky hair, for instance, whilst the action was playing out. Still smiling and tittering (anyone for a caramelised onion tartlet?) 👏
