Just talked with Steve for a recent update on Lisa. She is still in a great deal of pain. She was able to sit up for 15 minutes (great leaps there) today for the PT. She is still exhibiting symptoms from her TBI-confusion, mood swings, dizziness, and difficulty sleeping. Steve actually gave her some Starbucks coffee albeit thru a straw. She LOVED it!!! ( they are both coffee-holics, must be in the genes). Lisa still has a ways to go before transferring to a swing bedfacility and then to a skilled SCI facility. We are just taking her recovery day to day. Waiting to hear from plastic surgeons on their plan of action for her broken orbital bones. When I am asked about her injuries, other than my first response it is a miracle she is alive, I respond she has injuries from head to toe!!!!! Praying that each day brings more healing to Lisa!
