Just wanted all of you who responded to my post yesterday to know that the school and superintendent did the right thing today!!! Here was the comment I posted on yesterdays thread that was deleted...... So I met with the superintendent today and had a great chat with him....I have always had a great relationship with Mr. Cook and maybe I should have had this meeting before posting this on fb....Im still extremely disappointed with the principal at the High School but Im assuming she was part of the reason Ill be able to watch my kids participate in sports the rest of the year....so, for as hard as I was on this district yesterday, I applaud them today for making it right! I told Mr. Cook I was sorry for causing any issues or hard feelings at the game by approaching these students, but that I wouldnt change a thing for the future....that being said, I have accepted to miss one game at Brookside and that if I have an issue with disrespectful children again and it gets to a point of cursing and yelling like this one, I will not be allowed to come back again! Right or wrong, I choose to be there to watch my children participate. Lastly, this was a great forum for this discussion and I appreciate the debate that took place from both sides of the fence. I know many of you contacted the school board, news outlets and newspapers on my behalf as the messages and calls from these places have been pouring in....as I said in the beginning, it was not my intention to get a larger media involved as i could have had this appeal without this fb post. I enjoy using fb to get my points out there whether they are happy, sad, angry or outrageous....have a great day everyone!
