****KEEPING THE DIALOGUE OPEN PART II**** ......PLEASE send an email to our US Ambassador to Spain and tell him about the galgos and podencos plight. Share your pictures and tell him how much we are doing to support them. Make it personal. Direct Email: [email protected] As I posted yesterday, I had sent an email to our Ambassador in Madrid, James Costos, and I heard back. Now that I have asked for a meeting with him, his assistant has declined (see attached). As I mentioned at one time he was on the board of the Humane Society of the United States and he did adopt 2 dogs in Spain from a shelter although I dont believe they are galgos. Its up to each of us to take a few minutes and let James know about whats going on in the countryside and to share with him all that we are doing to rescue, rehabilitate and transport these dogs to US shores. If we can tug at his heart strings, maybe he will meet with one of the groups over there or one of ours when they are over there. I offered to go, but my ego could careless who it is, but he certainly can help us spread the awareness. So please send him an email, attach a picture or two of your gaglo and lets see if someone can get a meeting with him.
