Knowledge and Learning Assistant People Inspired HR - Sandton, Gauteng Our client is looking for a Knowledge and Learning Assistant, with the following requirements: • 3 years plus experience in a Knowledge Management, Legal Research Assistant or similar role • Degree in Law essential, Admitted attorney with 2-3 years legal experience • High level research skills essential • Experience in a legal or professional services environment advantageous • Entirely proficient in MS Office. Job Accountabilities : • Knowledge asset development and management – supporting and assisting the Knowledge and Learning Lawyers with the creation, identification, collection, organization and maintenance of knowledge assets to be placed on the Knowledge System • Legal research - supporting and assisting the Knowledge and Learning Lawyers to create, update and maintain knowledge assets and to deal with legal knowledge related queries • Searching hard copy, electronic and know-how materials to answer legal precedence and legal knowledge related enquiries • Knowledge System - gathering, weeding and indexing information for the Knowledge System • Ensuring electronic and hardcopy material is available to lawyers in their practice group which reflects their needs • Newsletters - managing and compiling regular newsletters of current items for internal distribution within the relevant practice areas • Training - training lawyers and support staff in the use of the Knowledge System and third party/external subscription databases • Procedures – assisting the Knowledge and Learning Lawyers with the development and management of procedures manuals and policy documents Skills: • Written Communication Able to express ideas clearly, produce documents that have appropriate organisation and structure, correct grammar and language. • Oral Communication and Presence The ideal candidate will be well spoken, will be at ease to contact and interact with colleagues on a daily basis, and to meet and engage with colleagues in a professional and effective manner. • Computer Literacy Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint packages. • Organizational Able to organize documents on both a clerical and secretarial basis If you meet the above requirements, please forward your CV to halima@ peopleinspired.co.za Should you not receive a response within two weeks of your submission, please regard application as unsuccessful.
