LAGOS HOLDS EXAMS INTO JS 1 IN JUNE 21 Lagos State government has reiterated its commitment to the provision of quality education for its citizenry in every nooks and cranny of the State. The Executive Chairman, State universal Basic Education Board, [SUBEB], Mrs. Gbolahan Khadijat Daodu reemphasized this recently while addressing members of Committee on the Placement Test into JS 1 classes in Public Junior Secondary Schools in the State. She disclosed that the Placement Test for 2014/2015 Academic Session into JS 1 in Public Junior Secondary Schools has been scheduled for Saturday June 21st, 2014 by 8:00am at various designated centres across the State. Mrs. Daodu emphasised that only Primary six pupils in both Public and Private Schools in Lagos State are eligible to sit for the examination, adding that Parents and Guardians of Primary six pupils in Private Schools must ensure that their Children/wards register through their respective schools at the Lagos State Examination Board, Ipaja Road, Agege. She stated that Parents and Guardians are to Note that only candidates who obtain 50% cumulative pass mark in English Language and Mathematics will be placed into JS 1 adding that any pupil who FAILS to sit for the exam will NOT be ADMITTED into any Lagos State Public Junior Secondary School. She advised Parents and Guardians to register their children/wards on time because registration closes on Friday 16th May, 2014.
