LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – THREE PERFECT DAYS It has been a blur. Last weekend we had our Granddaughter’s Nicole and Roslyn. Michael worked; I had the Girls all to myself. Well, our Dachshunds participated! Sunday, we went swimming; Roslyn in her life jacket holds on to me like a baby Baboon. She is both fearful and adventurous. One moment, she is grasping me, the next, relaxing enough to kick wildly, wanting to swim. Nicole is one with the water. She loves to swim, play, dive, and splash! Nicole is our little Mermaid. The girls wanted to stay in the pool, and tried every way to convince me, playing the 5-minute game…It went on for a long time…5 became 10, 10 became 20, and then another hour! Time to get out, shower, pack up clothes and toys, a long “Goodbye” to the Pets, and we were heading to the ferry. On my favorite new ferryboat, barely time to unload the sister’s, upstairs and to the restroom. We drove to Roslyn and Nicole’s house, meeting with parents, Jamie and Alexander. Everyone was happy to see each other! Dinner at the Canyon Restaurant, it was OK, Miss Vivienne and I headed back to the ferryboat in Mukilteo. My son Alexander went to work after dinner. Kenny had another doctor’s appointment on Monday afternoon. That prompted two more tests and office calls for my ninety three year old father. Along with the many phone calls, these generate. I turned the corner, up and over the hill, and the ramp was full! Yesterday, I had an appointment and lunch date in town, Veterans Day, many others leaving the Island as well. Luckily, I planned enough time, missing one and catching the next ferryboat. Heavy traffic, parking lots full, after appointment, late afternoon, I was on the way to lunch with best friends, daughter-in-law, Jamie and Granddaughter’s Roslyn and Nicole! Of course, we met at a favorite restaurant, Wendy’s! You know where we went after lunch, yes, Hancock Fabric’s Store in Lynnwood, WA! I was super excited to see for the first time, since the Shipping Samples, my two newest collections, EXPERIENCE the WORLD III with M’Liss and LOOK @ ME AGAIN IV by M’Liss! I bought both and more!
