Press Release on ASEAN-Canada Ministerial Meeting ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®®® The ASEAN-Canada Ministerial Meeting was held at MICC-l in Nay Pyi Taw at 5 :20 pm on 9 August as a sideline of the 47th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting being held in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The meeting was attended by the ASEAN Foreign Affairs Ministers led by Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. John Baird. Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law of Singapore Mr. K. Shanmugam and the Foreign Affairs Minister of Canada co-chaired the meeting. At the meeting, they exhibited their satisfaction over achievement in implementing the ASEAN-Canada Plan of Action (2010-2015), commented the visit ofthe ASEAN Economic Ministers to Canada in June as a contributing factor to cooperation in trade, investment and economic sectors between the ASEAN and Canada and discussed the relations and future prospects between the ASEAN and Canada.
