LOOKING AFTER SMALL BUSINESS - 97% OF SMALL BUSINESS INVOICES PAID ON TIME BY COALITION GOVERNMENT. Results from the Australian Government Payments to Small Business Survey 2013/14 records that the Commonwealth Government paid over 97% of invoices from small businesses within 30 days. These are the HIGHEST PERFORMING RESULTS in the survey’s 12 year history. Further, from 1 July 2014, small businesses received automatic interest payments on government contracts that have not been paid within 30 days. The previous Labor government worked on a longer 60 day timeframe. Unlike the Labor party dominated by ex-union officials, the Coalition government is made up of people with extensive experience in a wide range of small businesses. We understand how important cash flow is for small business - and as demonstrated by the Australian Government Payments to Small Business Survey 2013-14 we are getting on with the job.
