He starts playing electric guitar at 14, and at 22 decides start producing electronically, work which culminates in his EP Spells, which is however definitely more of a starting point that and arrival. Lunica Mentes music is characterized by mostly soft sounds, and often the presence of electric guitar infuses the music with a somewhat blues-like feel. The use of self-produced vocal samples adds to everything a decidedly dreamy touch. The Spells EP is made up of two pieces of music which are quite different, yet brought together by the presence of a blues-like electric guitar. Dont Look is a track close to instrumental hip hop, with off beat tendencies. Nothing at All, born out of a collaboration with Sunmo (Francesco Clemente), exists in a post-dubstep universe, with a tropical inflection coming from a rhythmic presence with strong influences from batucada samba. Francesco Clemente, born in Rome in 1989, falls in love with electronic music as much in clubs as in Aphex Twins releases. He works as a DJ and graphic designer, and in the meantime he discovers (first) the italian hip hop of Colle del Fomento, and (later) the american hip hop of Madlib and J Dilla, finding himself inescapably following in Flying Lotus tracks. Too many influences for a single genre, in a form of music (electronic) that in a half century of existence has more sub-genres than any other. Therefore: electronica without limits or borders, this is Sunmo. Not so much the genre standing out, as much as the emotion. ITA_Lunica Mente (Luca Menenti) è nato a Roma il 2 aprile 1989. La musica di Lunica Mente è caratterizzata per lo più da suoni morbidi e spesso la presenza della chitarra elettrica infonde nella musica un tocco vagamente blues. Luso di campioni vocali autoprodotti, aggiunge al tutto, un tocco decisamente sognante. L EP Spells è composto da due brani abbastanza diversi, ma, riuniti dalla presenza di una chitarra elettrica blues. Dont Look è un brano strumentale vicino allhip hop, con tendenze fuori beat. Nothing at All è nato dalla collaborazione con Sunmo (Francesco Clemente), ed esiste in un universo post-dubstep, con uninflessione tropicale, che proviene da una presenza ritmica con forti influenze samba batucada. Francesco Clemente, nato a Roma nel 1989, si innamora della musica elettronica nei club e attraverso le tracce di Aphex Twin. Lavora come DJ e graphic designer e nel frattempo scopre (prima) litaliano hip hop del Colle del Fomento e (poi) lhip hop americano di Madlib e J Dilla, ritrovandosi inevitabilmente a seguire le tracce di Flying Lotus. Troppe influenze per un unico genere, nella forma della musica (elettronica), che in mezzo secolo ha creato più sottogeneri di altri.
