Last Day of the Samsun Grand Prix - Good Judo Day especially Final Block. Lots of Ippons. On Mat 3 : I worked Preliminaries, then as Referee for several quarter-final matches in Mens -90, -100, +100, and womens -78, and +78, then 2 Repecharge Semi-finals. No US players today. Selected for Final Block - Bronze Medal as Judge, then another Bronze Medal in Center as Referee, and then for the last Gold Medal Match of the Tournament +100 kg Men in the Center as Referee. All in all a good experience. Now preparing for a 3 AM Bus, for a 5:15 AM flight to Istanbul, then Amsterdam, then Atlanta, then a train, then a car. Its the long road home. Back in the office on Tuesday.
