Last Saturday evening at the 2014 Dallas 3-Day Camp Show, I had the privilege to share some of my thoughts on why I participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walks. For all of us who walk, crew or support those who do, we each have our special reasons, with all of us united and focused to find a cure for breast cancer. For this speech, with nearly 34 walks and 2000 event miles completed, I initially struggled with what to speak on as there were so many experiences to draw on, so many impactful moments to share. As my mom would have stated, “Jimmie, just speak about what is on your heart”, which is what I did.
