Last night I had an interesting conversation with our very accommodating and most respected retired Suprintendent Mr. Angel Gilvas, the Executive Secretary of our Honorable Mayor Joel Dodoy Occena. We talked about how fast developments and projects have been in the past three years and how busy Sibalom has become. The new Municipal Hall is the biggest Municipal Hall in the Visayas, bigger even than many city halls. The new wet market building of the Sibalom Public Market (the biggest public market in the province) is nearly finished. The biggest plaza in the province, our municipal plaza, is now undergoing beautification. And to top the projects this year is the start of the construction of a much bigger P73.0 million new Ramon Maza Sr. District Hospital. The University of Antique in Sibalom is also growing bigger every year (about 2,000 new students this year). Bright things are coming up according to our very diligent, articulate, and amiable Sir Angie. Sibaloms IRA would most likely exceed P100 million (from the present P96 million) annually starting next year. Another new gas station, the 11th one, is set to apply soon. Then it came to our conversation that we should have a new slogan for our town. A slogan that will represent the Buruyluganay spirit of Sibalomnons and its aspiration for cooperation and oneness. A slogan that our beloved, hardworking Hon. Mayor Joel Occena can welcome our visitors and business investors to Sibalom. Come..LETS MAKE IT BIG IN SIBALOM! :) :) :)
