Last weekend a resident of Jamestown shared this picture of her great-grandmother, Ida Olson Johnson (center), and a Mr. and Mrs. Cook, at Panama Rocks Scenic Park in 1905. The tree root in the picture was called The Python for the way it snaked down the rock and was a favorite spot for pictures at the turn of the Century. That tree is dead but a new root is growing in its place! After finding the spot, she took a new picture in the same location! We love to see generations of families enjoying and creating family history at Panama Rocks! #throwbackthursday #tbt
