Lawdy Lawd what have I gotten myself into. Erics brother passed away a couple of years ago and Eric got some of his cast iron pans,well they were in rough shape when he got them and he threw them in a fire to burn off the crud and sticky gunk. Well long story short they have been in our workshop for over two years and I had the bright idea to clean them up and reseason them. More work involved than I thought. Soaked the worst ones in vinegar and water to remove rust got one done since I started at 7.30 this morning got the second one in the oven dont know how many times I will pull it out scrape reseason and put back in oven got a third pan prepared to go in oven still got one more after that and a corn pone pan...sigh
