Leadership work is harder than I thought. Call me crazy, but - TopicsExpress

Leadership work is harder than I thought. Call me crazy, but yes I got assigned to become a leader of this organizational group. It was assigned to me exactly a week ago, and today I was given the responsibility to lead the group into a certain discussion. It didnt last long, only a mere 60 minutes. But the fact that the discussion turned to some heated debate got me all stuttering and stammering. I was just merely stating what I heard from another discussion this early-afternoon and let the group know, but there were so many questions given to me that I did not have a clue on answering them, leaving me in the ditch. I felt like a turtle turned upside down struggling to get back on its feet. Until now, Im still thinking about it. And Im certainly questioning my capabilities. Am I really suited to lead? Ive been a closet otaku all my life, and someone to suddenly throw me a leadership role felt like its some rugby game. You know... The feeling of someone passing you the ball and suddenly, the enemy team attacks you from behind? Yeah, something like that. I feel so demoralized now. Then again, they may tell me its my first time performing this role so its quite normal to feel like that. The second questions is, how the heck am I gonna be able to cope with this form of stress? - kanashimi
