Lesson learned. Do not compromise your morals. When you get a bad feeling about someone, and they tell you things they have or are doing that make you uncomfortable; listen to that voice in your head. Its God trying to help you. I didnt listen and told myself that Jesus didnt judge people, but Jesus wasnt socializing he was counseling them on the word of God. I reconnected with an old friend that moved back to Florida. I was excited to see her and meet her husband. She confessed in a conversation that she felt uncomfortable in her new church because she and her husband sometimes do things on camera via the Internet for money. It was a red flag, but I cared for her and thought none of my business. They came for a visit and discovered her husband was addicted to pain pills and not quite right in the head. He made her tell me I could not call her sweetie, honey or baby because it made him uncomfortable. I was also told I could not say love you. Okay, Ive lived in Florida since I was 15 and picked up the southern habit of calling everyone I dont hate sweetie or honey. Baby is an original habit of mine, lol. I love you is something everyone with a heart that cares for people say. I realized that this relationship was going to be too complicated and said we should not hang out any longer. In true low class fashion the nasty messages and name calling started. I blocked her and her husband on FB, and wanted to share the experience with others. I have no close friends off of FB, and I want but now realize I dont need real life friends. People will always let you down, but God never will. Dont compromise youre morals, and listen to your conscience.
