Lets do the WaSH! The City of Tacurong had expressed its commitment for WaSH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) Service Institutionalization Program with UNICEF and A Single Drop for Safe Water (SDSW). SDSW conducted a WaSH orientation for LGUs in Sultan Kudarat on October 13-15 in Tacurong City. Participants were members of LGU WaSH Task Forces who will ensure that issues on water sanitation are addressed in each municipality/city. SDSW aims to capacitate these task forces for effective and efficient data gathering and planning for strategic solutions that will address water problems in communities. LGUs are to implement these interventions. SDSW can help LGUs in lobbying for funds from different organizations, said Tang dela Cruz, SDSW facilitator. For Tacurong City, three barangays will serve as pilot sites: Upper Katungal, Tina, and New Passi.
