Lets take a moment to remember that great comic-book artist and man Mike Esposito (July 14, 1927 – October 24, 2010). Uncle Mike was a dear friend to me when I first went to work at Marvel Comics, always there with terrific advice and always ready to pitch in and help me out with editorial problems. I grew up with comic books drawn by Ross Andru and inked by Mike (Wonder Woman, Metal Men, War That Time Forgot) and I can picture them as clearly in my mind today as when I first read them. Mike could change his inking style to accommodate and enhance just about any penciler in the business...and youd be hard-pressed to find anyone so dependable on deadlines.
