So...I am sitting here watching tv and I smell something plastic burning.and I begin to investigate. Then I notice a small amount of smoke beginning to come out of the old ceiling fan in this room. I turned off the switch and when I leave this room I am going to turn off the breaker and on the weekend I am going to have Ryan take down the fixture, inspect the wires and put up a new fixture. Is this the right plan of action? I am also going to test the smoke detector in the hall outside of this room. BTW....Ryan thinks I am nuts for turning everything off and unplugging things when we leave. So glad I do that. If I had left it on and left....It could have been bad.
