Letter James Spence wrote for his cousin Steve Cobbs funeral service. Family and Friends Its such an overwhelming experience to face these tragedies alone. But believe that, that is my cross, I must bare. Wouldnt be possible though, if it were not for the Abiding Presence of Jesus Christ in my life !!! Christ is my Hope the Steadfast Anchor of my soul !!! Nevertheless, My Deepest Sympathy and Prayers goes out to you Aunt Diane,Granny,Ginger,Katricia,Billy,Jeff,Shannon as well as the extended family. Im so sorry and sadden by the turn of events. You are having to face such an overwhelming and Great Loss...... Truly my Heart is Broken !!! For many years now Steve and I have been as close as cousins could be. At times you could have said we were Best Friends , Cousins and Brothers rolled into one, My Love for him will Never End !!! Aunt Diane, I can-not imagine the Pain, Sorrow and Grief ,A Mother goes through when her sons life is suddenly taken away.... I just know what it looks like ....... seeing my own Mother and Aunt Patricia endure such a loss and multiple loses of sons its simply unbearable to endure alone. I have come to believe that the difficulties we experience in this Life are intended to draw us closer to our Lord and to cause us to focus more an more on the Eternal Life that awaits us. Dear Family, I know the loss is Real an the Pain runs Deep in our souls....Our Family has been separated for to Long. Its time to set aside what ever Differences we may have and draw Strength and Courage from one another. Look to your right and left side, For there you should find Family and Friends . Embrace one Another....... Blessed are they that Mourn: For they shall be Comforted. IN Loving Memory,and in Closing: To my Brothers and Cousins YOU MAYBE GONE BUT, YOU ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN . And so these words are for you. Steve,Bubba,Jerry,Tom-Tom,Kevin,David,Rusty and Lil Ronnie......... Family lets not allow another day go by without telling our loved ones the love we have for them and what their lives mean to us. The Time we have together is so,so precious and short.
