Lisa Nicol (Courtney) 3-1 (1983). After 6 weeks PNC straight to 7EE for 12 weeks. Lived in nurses quarters for 1st year, a real experience. After I finished training 1986 worked in 3B with Sr Spring for 5 years, moved to RCH emergency department for 8 years then juvenile corrections for a couple of years, worked for QUT as clinical facilitator for a while and then moved into community care, finally now working as a nurse educator at Careers Australia. Thats where things come full circle, one of the other educators is Di Pellin, who was one of my educators. I learnt my teaching methods from Di, Margot Townley and Ann-Marie Dunning, that is, entertain them, make them laugh and they will remember what you say. Anyway, great to have this opportunity hope I get to hear from more 3-1s and others who worked in 3B either as staff or students.
