Listening to....Marilyn Manson-Antichrist Superstar (Live---Dead To The World tour) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Originally featuring on his classic 1996 album of the same name. Antichrist Superstar is one of my favourite songs by Marilyn Manson. The title is a play on Andrew Lloyd Webbers stage musical Jesus Christ Superstar but the song is the centrepiece for Mansons reverse trilogy which depicts the rise of the fallen angel. The trilogy began with Antichrist Superstar, continued with Mechanical Animals & concluded with Holywood(In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death). The story is told in reverse however(hence the reverse trilogy) & musically it evolves from the the Industrial Punk of Antichrist Superstar to the Electro-Rock of Mechanical Animals to the marriage of Acoustic & Metal on Holywood. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
