Little rant before I head off to home visits. When buying a puppy - TopicsExpress

Little rant before I head off to home visits. When buying a puppy you really should buy from a decent breeder, not one that would advertise their pups on selling sites and you should visit the pup with its litter mates and mother at least once before deciding if the pup is for you. A good breeder (be that of pedigrees or crosses) will not let just anyone have their pups, you should feel as if you are being interviewed when you go along to see the pups and should be ready to answer questions about your lifestyle and even financial situation. It is very easy to be ruled by our hearts when seeing poor pups in terrible conditions but the best thing you can do there is notify the RSPCA and walk away. You are setting yourself up for heartache and sometimes some serious problems if you take this puppy home. There is no such thing as a cheap puppy. If it is being sold for much less than others of the same type then ask yourself why and you can practically guarantee that in the long run it will cost you more. Rant over DONT BE PART OF THE PUPPY FARMING CONTINUATION!!!
