Lolling hard over all the angst about #UKIP. Dont you yet realise that the more you prevent discussion and debate the more people will turn to fringe parties because they feel like noone else will listen to their concerns. Its pretty mean, snobbish and patronising to set yourselves up as somehow intellectually superior to the masses of the disaffected, calling them all stupid, or implying that theyre incapable of independent thought. Issues like Europe, immigration, or relationships with other countries etc do concern people, and we should be able to discuss them without labelling ALL such discussion as hate or racism; until that happens extremism will continue to gain ground. I wouldnt vote for them personally, I dont think single issue protest parties have much to offer generally, and UKIP in particular dont really seem to offer anything in the way of real solutions just a lot of lists of complaints, but I can see why some perfectly sane people would, and I can see how the Guardian et al are the real motivators for doing so. Instead of all this patronising bullshit, all this hand-wringing, an honest #HowWeMadeYouVoteUkip would be way more useful in preventing what you claim to dread
