Lots of people down at the Warby Skate Park yesterday, which is rad to see. I walked down there to check it out and found this. Rubbish just strewn around the park. Beer cans, plastic bottles, Cigarette packs and take away coffee cups just left on the ground. There are 2 bins there. One is a massive green wheelie bin and the other is the permanent bin, not 8 steps away from the seating. I also found beer bottles just dumped in the car park out the front of Cog. This park was designed and built for YOU the users. How about you treat it with a little bit of respect. You dont want the local community off side even before youve started. I know how hard it is to stay in that positive vibe with the local community. Mountain biking has long been regarded as a negative issue within local communities, but if you can do the right thing for your sport/hobby/pass time activity, then that stigma thats associated with your passion can be turned around. (rant over) This park will be a massive bonus to living in the Warby Valley and if Sunday was any indication of how popular it will be, the designers and builders of it should really take their hats off. Stellar job!! When the park opens, Cog will provide a spiffy new broom to sweep the park with, so you can skate without peril!! Happy riding/skating!!!
