Luca pacioli known as the father of accounting and book keeping. He was the first to publish a work on double entry system of bookkeeping in 1494. In the double entry accounting system two accounting enteries are required to record each financial transaction. The transaction is recorded as a debit entry (Dr.) in one account and a credit entry (Cr.) in the second account. The total of all the debits must be equal to the total of all the credits.
