DAY FIVE: FRIDAY: 9TH AUGUST 2013 MAN IN GODS PICTURE OF CREATION GENESIS1:26-31 God in his divine plan purposed and planned to have the natural world though he is spiritual. God operates in two dimensions, the natural and the supernatural, in divinity and in human history; God is Spirit but He affects the natural. He first created the environment that was going to support humanity before humanity ever stepped on earth. Everything God created has a purpose, nothing was created for the fun of it; it has a purpose from God. God ensured he put the swimming in the fish and flying in the birds; for everything God created, for it to remain alive, it must remain attached to the material it was made from e.g. Fish should remain in the sea, trees in the soil, humanity in God’s presence if they are to live and be effective. 1. Why do you think God created humanity to crown his climax of # creation? What is man’s purpose and destiny in God? 2. What are the roles of man and woman in a family, church and society? 3. Children verses Parents - Moral decay –who is to blame? Discuss 4. Explain the relation of Christ and the Church in the context of marriage-Ephesians5:22-33. Who are the perpetrators of gender based violence? 5. The well-known slogan of the MCF is derived from the great commission (matthew28:16-20)- how effective have we been in reaching out to others with the good news, if not; what have been the challenges and how can we overcome them?
