MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES - Belgium Job:Medical Coordinator Assistant Location:Sudan MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES – Belgium Job Title: Medical Coordinator Assistant Duty Station: Khartoum with frequent field visits Gross Salary: 3.181 SDG Duration of contract: One Year contract Starting Date: As soon as possible General purpose of the job: ·To assist the Medical Coordinator with the implementation and follow up of the medical components of all MSF-B projects. Job Description: ·To follow how the general medical issues are addressed in the Sudan and the region and to advise the Medical Coordinator whenever are changes and major advancements which will affect the development or delivery of MSF-B programs. ·To provide support of all MSF-B project teams & their activities )incl. training, monitoring and evaluation of activities through field visits(. ·To provide technical and physical support for the medical team based in Nayala, Shearia and ElDien to full fill their co-ordination and technical support function. ·To manage the various medical team members and to provide guidance and on the job training in order to improve the effectiveness of MSF’s medical work. ·Participate in program planning and the development of new and existing project proposals. ·Participate in data collection, data compilation, report writing and the dissemination of information to relevant actors. ·Participate in implementation of MSF policies and protocols at field level. ·To assume the med-co responsibilities in the absence of the Medical Coordinator. ·Provide personal medical support for national and international staff when required or necessary. ·Follow the National staff health. ·Actively establishes and maintains good relationships with other actors )NGOs, government institutions, research institutions( working in areas of interest for MSF-B. ·Actively builds relationships with other medical actors )both governmental and other NGOs( working in Sudan. ·Analyses the Sudanese medical context and activities the Medical Coordinator accordingly and advise on events that may have an impact on our existing or potential activities. Educational: ·Bachelor of Medicine Qualifications: ·Medical Registration in the Sudan Medical Council. ·Master degree in health, humanitarian or other relevant field is highly recommended. Experience: ·Minimum 3 years relevant managerial experience preferably in humanitarian context, with demonstrated skills in effective compliance to procedures. ·Managerial skills. ·Familiar with national health policies and strategies in addition to medical administration tools and management.
