MEDITATION AS PATRICK GOES HOME! Earlier today at the funeral Mass for my departed friend, PATRICK ANDREW, I read the following tribute by his VERY YOUNG widow, ABIGAIL. Dear, you told me you were only going to work and will be back. You also requested that I should prepare your favourite meal. You never did come back, only to embark on the journey to eternity. I appreciate every second we lived together and will continue to be your missing rib while I pray we meet again to continue with this union. RIP my lovely husband. My friends death doesnt respect our human permutations, not even our spiritual ones. He lay in the coffin motionless and that made me ask the question: If I were the one IN THERE...WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MY READINESS TO SPEAK TO GOD? Hmmm! My friend does not enjoy the privilege of such a meditation because only the living ponder such matters. Teach us Lord to number our days, that we may gain wisdom of heart.
