MELVIN, THE TEMPTATIONS AND 48 HOURS TIL CHRISTMAS Pastor Woody never knew what to expect when he met with his Elders but his Christmas CD enhanced his already festive mood. He punched the rewind button --again--as he braked for the red light and joined Temptations bass, Melvin Franklin, in the final chords of his rendition of Silent Night. No one could sing Woodys favorite holiday carol like the Temptations. As always, the tune mellowed his spirit and opened his soul to the holiness of the holiday season. He made a mental note to ask Selena if the choir was singing it at the Mt. Sinai Christmas service. With a quickness, he dismissed the second mental note; I think its time to bring out the old sax...would sound great with... As Woody turned into the Corral parking lot, he was surprised to find a parking space; hed expected to have to circle the lot a few times. The light tap on his window startled him and interrupted his Meeear..aar...reeey Christmas to all of youoooo--ooo-ooo ooo. He didnt need to lower his window to hear the hearty greeting. Pasta Woody, ya knows ya kin sang that song! Lawd hab muhcy! Whoo, the Temptations kin sing it! I sho hopes da choir sangs it Christmas Eve. Hey Pastah, maybes you kin play yo sax. Whatchu thinks?
