MENSTRAUL HYGIENE DAY An exploratory study into menstrual Hygiene management amongst 133 rural, primary school girls in Uganda found that; There is limited knowledge among school girls; 36.3% think it is a disease 87.1% use unhygienic materials Only 47.1% of girls can afford sanitary pads 61.7 girls miss school in a month; and 63.8% miss school because of lack of private space to wash and change. Menstrual hygiene is fundamental to advancing Education!!!
