MONDAY MORNING THOUGHTS “My Shower Cap Died” Some days are just worse than others. Last fall my scarecrow and my silk flowers died and yesterday my shower cap died. Yes, I stepped out of the shower and this little pink string draped itself over my shoulder and gradually became longer and longer (as I pulled on it) and finally there was nothing left but a big, flat, round circle with lace and elastic laying in the middle of it. I will miss that shower cap. It has been in my travel bag for many, many years and has saved the day for me more than one time. Even wore it in a rain storm once and it made a wonderful completion to a Halloween costume – one that no one recognized me in. They thought I was a little ole lady from down the street and I heard someone tell another that they should not be laughing at me because I probably couldn’t help how I looked! You just get attached to some things…like good friends, good books, beautiful days, freedom, devotion, God, wonderful hubbies, spring, cheerful thoughts – and yes, shower caps.
