MONEY MARKET Regulated by RBI 1. Commercial paper: commercial paper is started in 1990. Minimum size of commercial paper is 5lakh but company has not issued below 25lakh for 7 days or 365 days. No guarantee, no security. 2. Treasury bill: Treasury bill is issued by government. Minimum size is one lakh for 91 days to 364 days. 3. Treasury notes: 1 to 10 years (1,3,5,7,10) 4. Treasury bond: 20 to 30 years. Minimum size is 1 lakh. 5. Certificate of deposit: it was introduced in 1989. Bank needs money so bank issue certificate of deposit. A certificate of deposit in a bank for a specified period. Minimum size 1lakh, minimum 15 days and maximum 365 days. Rate of interest is allowed. 6. Call money market: bank to bank withdraw.
