MOVEMENT OF WAGES AND SALARIES IN SAINT LUCIA. The red line shows the movement of wages and salaries in the public service. Over the last few years the gap between public and private sector has been increasing. Whereas private sector wages and salaries (blue line) decreased during the economic downturn, public sector wages have been increasing. In essence, where private sector workers were forced to take wage cuts, public sector workers enjoyed increases.
