Made it to Galena! Have to say.....the flight on the small plane was an adventure, lot of turbulence! You could see the terrain most of the flight. The Landrums really are in the bush. The flight was about 45 to 50 min and after leaving Fairbanks all you saw was trees, snowcap mountains, rivers, lakes. Not a road anywhere, until Galena, then the plane came down right over the Yukon river, looked like we were going to land on it, and then you saw the air strip ahead thru the pilots cabin window. Yea! We landed! The whole family was there to meet us! It was so good to see them. They showed us around a bit then we had supper with them. Our first Moose Spaghetti! It was delicious!
