Make the diagnosis and state your prehospital treatment plan. Info: 88 year old male called to a Nursing Home for AMS and unstable vital signs. Pt is clearly obtunded on your arrival with shallow breathing and a GCS of 6. RN reports at bedside that pt is currently being treated for UTI and has been receiving IV antibx via his PICC line. A quick glance at the foley reveals grossly saturated and cloudy urine with large amounts of puss. Pt is hot to the touch. Vital signs: GCS: 6 (1/1/4) BP: 80/50 HR: 170, regular and weak RR: 14, shallow SpO2: 94% on RA EtCO2: unable to register via NC capno set You place the pt on the EKG and subsequently the 12 lead to clear up any discrepancies.
