Many people ask why I do such enormous sales on my Photoshop Actions, Overlays and Mentoring Videos well I wanted to share little bit as to why. So please read this, and share it. (Its kinda long but it has a good story) I grew up living a very charmed life. I had everything I ever wanted. My parents gave me and my sisters everything. Because of this I was able to dance and travel the world extensively because of Dance. Well when I was in High School I was told that I was too fat to be on the High School Drill Team (Actually it was because Kandis is short, her weight really shows) I was a size 5. After this I never wanted to be told that I couldnt do something because of my weight. It was then I developed an eating disorder. It followed me off and on for many MANY years. There were years that I didnt engage in eating disorder behaviors, but the year after I had Elle it got really bad. A friend found out and lovingly forced me to get help. Which I did. For the next 4 years I would undergo therapy for my eating disorder. It was not easy. In one of my therapy sessions my therapist asked me what I really wanted to do, and I replied....I want to be a photographer. She said Why arent you? and I said Im afraid of people judging me. We spent the entire session on ways to combat this fear. Over the next few months I started pursuing photography. First as a hobby. I was a crumby photographer at first, and I felt that I just didnt know how to do it. So one night I knelt in prayer and I pleaded with God and this is some of what was said Heavenly Father, I dont want to have this eating disorder anymore. I want to do something with my life. I want to be a photographer but I need your help. If you help me develop this talent, I promise I will help others develop theirs. And through photography, I was able to overcome my eating disorder and I have been able to develop my talent for photography while helping others with theirs. This is why I give back in such a way. It is my way of giving thanks to my Heavenly Father. In return I get blessings, I am able to support my family and I am able to remain healed from the debilitating disease of bulimia. So when you see me post about a sale, or a new product this is not just a way to make money for my family (which it is...its how I support us) But its a way of me giving back to my fellow photographers and a way of me saying Thank You God for giving me this talent so I can help others.
