Mark Logan, Chair of the Snuff Mills Action Group requested if placecard holders could be purchased to support East Bristols Avon & Frome Valleys - information flyers which we designed and had printed during the spring. These new plastic holders will help to display our place cards in strategic areas. Mark is especially keen to see placecards at the Snuff Mills Café promoting Snuff Mills, Oldbury Court Estate, Eastville Park and Stoke Park Estate which are all close to Snuff Mills Café. The stand with those placecards within was delivered by the Greater Fishponds Neighbourhood Partnership to the café this afternoon for local people to read about the areas above. Lots of people visit Snuff Mills but do not really know much about the area.. hopefully that can start to change. Marks second stand request is for Hideaway Café in Eastville Park, that stand will hopefully be delivered to Joe Brown on Sunday promoting the same areas but with cards about Troopers Hill, St George Park and Conham River Park as well for when the Hideaway Café is serving other parts of the city. A third stand will live at Cossham Hospital Café where the League of Friends are very grateful to hand out 100s of flyers to visitors about Lodge Hill Open Space. (King Johns Views). Here we are hoping that the second banner can go on display as well (the other is at Destination Bristol - Tourist Information Centre & cards have been popular with 1000s of tourists so far). A full set of place cards can then be on display at Cossham Hospital. For anyone who hasnt visited Cossham Hospital, please save the date. Cossham Memorial Hospital - League of Friends (charity No. 247142) Coffee Morning on Friday October 3rd from 10am to 12 noon at the Seminar Room for Christmas Cards, Cakes, Gifts, Novelties and more which will all be on sale. (very affordable). Coffee & biscuits anytime is open to the public.. just 60p. Wow! Lovely team of people.. please visit when youre passing. fishpondspeople.co.uk/pages/eastbristol.html
