Marsha and I went to Utah to photograph fall foliage the other - TopicsExpress

Marsha and I went to Utah to photograph fall foliage the other day. On our way home, we went through the town of Circleville. It’s a beautiful area. A farming valley surrounded by 10,000-11,000 ft. tall peaks. As we were driving down the main street, we saw this pickup truck that was filled with bagged potatoes. Sitting next to the truck was a sign with the price. We turned around to buy some of these fresh spuds. When we got to the truck, we saw the smaller sign telling us to put our $10.00 in the driver’s side window. How refreshing! When I put the two $5.00 bills through the window I noticed that there was probably $60.00-$80.00 lying on the front seat. The sad thing is that we found this level of trust and honesty noteworthy. It used to be the norm. How did we get to today’s level of distrust and situational ethics?
