Mary’s son was murdered when he was 20 years old. The murderer was a 16-year-old kid from her neighborhood. He was sentenced to 25.5 years in prison and was recently released after serving 17 years of his sentence. During his time in prison, Mary went to visit Oshea and built a relationship with him. Upon his release, Oshea moved next to Mary and the two of them now have a close relationship. Mary chose to forgive Oshea and has faithfully continued that choice.
