May God Provide for Steve Do you believe that God answers prayers? Can God answer small, medium and large prayer requests? Are there many Bible verses that call Christians to pray for each other? Does God get glory when He answers prayers for humanly impossible situations? Does the testimony of answered prayers improve the faith of others? According to the Bible those who were saved have been adopted into the family of God. Therefore God is our heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is our eldest brother. I am sharing this prayer request for our brother in Christ named Steve who is in great need. He is a veteran that has many medical challenges. He was laid off from his job and has fallen far behind on his rent. He is facing the possibility of eviction at the end of July. He has gone without electricity for many months. So he has not had a hot shower in his rented trailer. He has needed to use a battery operated camping lantern to have light at night. And it quit working recently. I met Steve through an online small group associated with my church. I have been communicating with him for months and know that his needs are real. This is not a scam. I have helped Steve set up a blog to tell his story godanswersprayerstoday.blogspot/ There you will learn more details and see a video he made. God has extended His mercy to Steve. The full amount of rent past due is 3000 dollars. He needs to pay 1500 dollars before July 31. Please join me and others in prayer that God will provide this need. Also in order to turn on his electricity the cost is 350 dollars. To replace his lantern it is only 30 dollars. Steve is on food stamps so he gets groceries. Another request he has is for transportation. His scooter was stolen and can be replaced for 1000 dollars. He has a job offer but there is no bus service near his residence. So with the vehicle he will be able to become self-sustaining again. Finally Steve wants to go to college to learn computer programing and web development. That will lead to a hope filled future. God has used me before to raise support for others. I have learned that what works is to request specific prayers from many people. Then patiently wait for God to guide and provide. He always does it in a different way so it is important to pay close attention to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. During the process many are blessed to serve as a part of the blessing He sends right on time.
