Media Release. Thursday, March 13, 2014. Arrest Warrant Executed Just after 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, a 30 year old Barrie man walked into the South Division in Bradford and surrendered. He had failed to appear in court on March 6, and a Judge had issued a warrant for his arrest. The man was taken to court, where a charge of Fail To Appear in Court was added to his previous Break Enter and Theft charges. He was remanded to appear in court again on Monday. Cold Weather Keeps Officers Busy The latest snow storm kept South Simcoe officers busy, with 14 minor collisions investigated over the last 24 hours. The cold snap that followed the snow also caused some problems, with several false 9-1-1 and alarm calls caused by equipment malfunctioning in the frigid temperatures. The public are reminded to drive carefully, and to have an emergency kit in their car. Always carry a fully charged cell phone to call for help if stranded. If you are involved in a collision, call police and stay in your car until help arrives.
