Media Trust is holding a panel debate in partnership with Evening Standards London Live and The Jack Petchey Foundation on 3rd February to give young Londoners the chance to get their voices heard. The debate will be on digital media - does it give voice to young people or just provoke vanity, violence and vulgarity? The event will be chaired by news presenter Charlene White, and attended by a host of media industry experts. We are looking for opinionated young people with a strong interest in social media that are aged 16-25 they will not want to miss this debate at ITV Studios on 3rd February between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. We have limited spaces available but have reserved up to 10 places for your young people. Please note that we require a representative from your organisation to be responsible for the young people on the evening and should arrive and leave with the group. This staff member will be responsible for obtaining the necessary consents for the young people to attend. Can you let me know if you would like to bring young people and if so approximately how many you wish to bring, we will need full names of staff and young people attending by 23rd January 2014. Unfortunately on this occasion we will not be able to cover travel expenses. The debate is being filmed by our team of young reporters and will be broadcast on L360 on Community Channel. We will be carefully briefing our chair but we cannot control the content of the debate and sensitive issues may be discussed, please consider this when selecting young people to invite and only bring those you feel to be suitable to attend. Please email : [email protected] if you are interested
