Meditation is a great way to train your mind to focus on anything neutral. Usually when you learn to meditate you learn to focus on your breath. Before you begin your day today...sit in a comfortable chair and place your hands in your lap. Breath in and out slowly and naturally. As you breathe focus on the in and out motion of your breath. If you mind gets distracted and wonders away gently guide it back to focus on your breath. A wondering mind is completely normal and it happens to everyone. The good news is that THIS is your opportunity to practice your focus and gently guide your mind back to something neutral. Doing this on a regular basis will help you greatly in your daily life. When you get involved in those situations that challenge your clarity and calmness - the skill to focus your mind on something neutral is a great asset that you can call upon. Like with every exercise - practice makes perfect!
