Members, We are now down to just 9 weeks before the 2014 campaign starts!!! Sad to be losing Dom but I have a friend (if he can arrange transport) and also a work colleague that us expressing an interest so numbers should be as expected and well over enough to be able to hold the season ahead if us. Planning a re-vamp of my garage during the upcoming half term which will see a rig preparation area created so I can make my pole rigs in peace etc so its all systems go for me! Andrew is now back from his travels so hell be back on the banks too - currently doesnt have a car but hes working on it! All deposits have now been paid so all we have to do is turn up, peg it out, catch the fish and weigh in!!! Lol! On the thought of pegging and weighing, Rob, can you please arrange to return the scales and pegs if you are 100% not with the club for 2014. Great if you are but well obviously need then back. The club will possibly need a new Match Steward for 2014 so if anyone would like to nominate anyone or put themselves forward that would be appreciated. Its not a hard job but you will be charge of timekeeping and pegging. This is just so I dont have to do everything as I will have to continue taking match fees, general financial controls and also the match round up emails. The Match Steward needs to be an individual that can pretty much guarantee 100% as they will hold the pegs and a scales etc. There will be a small presentation before MD1 as there are a few trophies still left to be handed out from last year so I very much look forward to that. Due to our approx. member count of 16, we will be ever ting back to one league. In theory the two tier system worked for 18 to 20 members but last year it didnt really work however if the final member count is over 16 than Pro and Elite will remain. With Rob and Dom removing themselves it would see the 3rd and 4th Pro League positions promoted anyway leaving just new members in their own league which feels a bit like segregation so well just merge everyone to battle it out. All thats left to say is happy preparations and I really look forward to linking up once again! Tight Lines, Craven Cottage ;o)
