Mike Minear My mother taught me the bible, she was quite a scholar, to my S Bumby Friends she was like Irene Gregory, and Nancy Lawson when she was in a bible study. My mom and dad used to play Devils advocate, one would take one side of an issue and the other would take opposite side and take the argument to its conclusion. She taught me to love music, the classics; her favorite was Chopin. She taught me to taste new foods, that it is impolite to refuse to eat what a host is offering. She taught me how to do laundry, make my bed, cook and to balance a check book. Happy Birthday Mom, you would have been 89 today.
